Its a cross with tribal wings that is across my upper and mid back but doesn't reach up to my neck where it is visible.

Though the USMC and USAF have the strictest regulations on tattoos, it should be fine, depending of the subject of content.
The regulations are no tattoos that will show while wearing any uniforms, and no large covering tattoos. Sleeve tattoos and full or partial body tattoos are the most disqualifying.
I’m a Marine fiance. My fiance has a tattoo that takes up his back from his lower back until his shoulder blades, it’s not visible with a shirt on and he has them on his shoulders and side arms. It should be fine as long as it follows regulations with uniforms.
