Personally, I hate the apperance of tattoos, whether muscular or not. Skin is skin, dont graffiti it.

Tribal tattoos are not uique, and I would suggest NOT getting your boyfriend's name.
I dated a guy for 4 years, we were about 2 months shy of our wedding, and I got his name tattooed on me. I found out he was cheating on me with my cousin and he was already getting things in order to annul our marriage and we hadn't even gotten close to walking down the aisle. Needless to say, I'm stuck with his name until I find something to cover it up with, and my new husband isn't thrilled either.
Go to a shop, tell them your idea and they'll draw something for you.

why tribal? do you have a family ancestry with a history of tribal tattoo? do you or anyone in your family belong to a tribe? do you have any tribal connections at all? likeley the answer to that was no. why get a tattoo that has no personal meaning to them? tribal was "cool" in 1995, now it's just downright annoying. my artist won't even consider tattooing tribal, he doesn't want his name associated with it.
if i were you i would think long and hard about it before you make that mistake. the two most commonly covered up tattoos are names of exes and tribal.

Just call a few tattoo artists around down. A good artist can take your photograph, trace it, and then tattoo it.
