What is the meaning of 'tribal tattoos'?
I have a friend who, when I showed her this tattoo I was thinking Generic Drugs about getting, said that when she sees people with tribal tattoos she thinks of someone who just got it to get a tattoo, which isn't my case at all. I have been looking for an interesting cross tattoo, and this is so far, my favorite.
So what is the meaning of tribal cross tattoos, and what comes to YOUR mind when you see them?

to be honest i think it looks more religious than tribal.
Honestly, when I see a tribal tattoo all I can think of is “TOOL”.
Especially religious BS, but I won’t even go into that.
Think of what an oxymoron it is…
A tribal Christian cross.
Tribal tattoos originated by ancient tribesman to ward off evil spirits with specific symbols and to show achievements of a warrior on their skin. Gang members of today still carry the tradition of marking their bodies with various symbols to represent their achievements in their world. Tribal cross tattoos are something new. It is just a cool design and variation of the original tribal style and the christian cross. The tribal of today holds no religious power and the symbols are specific from tribe to tribe. I think they can be extremely creative and are a fun idea. If it is what you want go for it! It’s your tattoo, nobody else’s.
Don’t get this one! I seen it on so many people. The reason it is so popular is because it is one of the first to show up on google images.
When I see that tattoo I just think of religion.
