tattoo idea for guy.. ?
im turning 18 and as my birthday present im going to give myself some tattoos. I was thinking that these would probably be the most meaningfull and tatoos that i wouldnt mind looking at for the rest of my life:
rosary on my wrist
important dates in my life on the left side of my back( i was thinking in cursive)
and ive always been really into tribal stuff.. always doodling stuff in class and was wondering what and where i shold get something tribal
(all are in black in by the way, i think color looks tacky in my opinion)
Ideas?Comments?Suggestions?
ALSO- if anyone knows a ballpark estimate that would be greatly apreciated
P.S: i am a white hispanic , played varsity football(QB) soccer and cross country so i guess i have a nice athletic body

regarding the dates tatoo
the only dates that i have thought of so far are my birth date... passing of a friend.. first real girlfriend... lost virginity... im planning on adding more throughout my life as well

get a tribal sun on your belly

I know you are looking forward to turning 18, and thinking that you will then be an adult etc. but you need to realize, that it is still very young. So, take your time with this, there is much of life you have no idea about, so leave some skin re
real estate for later, you’ll be glad that you did.
As far as your ideas, I don’t understand the dates on your back, because you won’t be able to see them easily, and you are young and those can not be the only important dates in your life, you have many yet to come, so I’d hold off on that one.
The rosary, is fine if you stay a Catholic your whole life. You might want to hold on that one until you are 30 yrs old at least.
The tribal design idea is good, but it is a trendy thing of late, and I am not sure if you will like it or be really sick of it after a bit of time. But, if you have a design that you drew and really like, then that might be the best one for your 1st tattoo.
Cost depends on how long it takes and that depends on the intricacies of the design, and if there is a lot of black fill in. Often this needs to be gone over a 2nd time. You figure that the artist will do the outline 1st and then the fill in, often in 2 sessions with at least 2 -4 weeks in between for healing, then a touch up and another 2 – 4 weeks healing aftercare.
Figure $100 -$150 per hour plus 15% – 20% tip
So, without seeing the design, that’s the best that I can tell you.
Remember, there is no hurry, take your time. And you could get one tattoo every 10 years of your life if you wanted. You don’t need them all at once.
Also, you may have a nice athletic body now, but you don’t keep one for life without a lot of work, luck and magic!

with the dates you mentioned and the tribal, i would say get tribal up your arm (half sleeve) that comes up around your shoulder and supports / surrounds the dates your wanting on your back.
for men i think tribal works best on arms, especially tonned ones
for that id say it would cost alot though, black ink all over tends to be way more expensive, so is say (concidering i live in england) that it would cost about £260 – £360, possibly more, for the tribal and the dates. and as for the rosary i have no idea how much that would cost.
