Is A Tribal Cross Tattoo Wrong If You Don’t Go To Church?
I was going to get this tattoo i really like its this tribal design and a cross. I really like the tattoo and i believe in God all that i just don't go to church. I have been to church a few times in my life but I'm only 16 and my parents don't go.I used to attend a thing called overtime also which was like a thing where a bunch of kids could get together and hang out after friday night football games and for an hour there would be a man talking to us about church related things and i loved going because of that. But my question is, Would it be wrong of me to get the tattoo since I'm not strongly religious attending church on sundays?

♦ No
No…a tribal cross tattoo is fine regardless of what you believe.
The cross is an ancient symbol which just happens to have been picked up as symbol for the Christian faith. (On that note, the swastika was actually a traditional symbol used by native peoples long before Hitler ever assumed it as his sign…but you can see what happened then…)
Despite the fact that my own personal taste may direct me away from such tattoos, if YOU like it, get it. And don’t let anything anybody else tell you otherwise. Good luck!
I don’t think so. I think the fact that you are asking the question, shows you have enough respect for God and the church that you won’t be trivialising it by getting the tattoo.
Just remember (and I’m not anti-tattoo) that tattoos are permanent. That said, I’ve got a Christian cross tattoo made up of two of the names of God in Hebrew intersecting (if that’s not too contradictory??).
It’s body art, church has nothing to do with it. And I don’t think anyone would be offended if they saw it a knew you didn’t go to church either. The tattoo is symbolic to you in some way, so if someone is bothered by it tough luck for them. Unless of course it’s extremely offensive, but what you’re getting isn’t, so no worries!
Your beliefs are your beliefs. Just because you don’t go to church doesn’t mean you’re any less Christian. If you think it’s important to you go ahead. If you’re spiritual I would go for it. There is a huge difference between spiritual and religious.
Before the cross was associated with Jesus and His Crucifixion, it was a symbol of death, so no.
And you don’t have to go to church to be religious.
I don’t think it would be wrong to be honest. But one way to look at it, theres people, rappers and so on who have done drugs, in gangs, tried killing people, some even have done so etc etc, yet they have some form of religous tatoos on them. Guess that makes them hypocrites.
You need not be “strongly religious” to have faith. Get the tattoo you want because it’s for you and you only. You shouldn’t have to explain to anyone what it means to you. Happy tattoo:)
I don’t really think that it would be a problem, it’s a tattoo! it’s your own personal choice, and you shouldn’t need to go to church just to get the tattoo that you want.
i think some of the people with the most faith don’t even go to church. It is your body do what you like. People will judge but if it means something to you then that is all that matters.
Do what you want. i’m not a bible expert, but i am almost 100% sure that it doesn’t state that you have to attend a church.

Church has nothing to do with it.

Sir: I don’t believe he could have researched the colors; he just came up with an absurd scheme for writers to flag readers as to which text in articles was actually important, by color-coding each paragraph. I’m just being snarky: Using red for “you can basically ignore this” seems so wildly counter-intuitive as to be, well, just wrong. Lori: At this point, I think GM has earned the “spammer” title.

Your a Christian. That's member enough isn't it? Becoming a member is something you do if you feel in your heart it's the right thing for you to do. Here's a good site about the importance of going to church.

Pakistani Interior Minister Rehman Malik says the US drone attacks in the tribal areas along the border with Afghanistan are carried out without the consent of Islamabad.
It’s indeed touching! It made me realize how too self-protected I am..yet the truth is I am nothing…..and have done nothing great without Jesus. I have so selfish that I have engulfed to this culture of materialism and pleasure and yet we only need one thing…..to find real happiness is to accept Christ in us willingly..so help me God.
